Moto Q and Palm Treo running WM6

So, the big round up so far:

- Motorola Q (GSM) is running WM6 Standard

- Palm Treo 750 (?) is running WM6 Professional

Plus everyone keeps mentioning about the Daylight savings bug in WM5 that needs a ROM update, so people keep hinting at a March rom release date. Who knows but this all looks promising.

This is very cool to see, but I've been wondering about this for a while: what is the "legality" of people installing this on their phones? I assume since AKUs are like windows updates that those that own a WM5 device can install these (even unofficial versions) AKU 3.3, 3.5 etc and still be within the licensing rules. However, WM6 is a new OS, which would normally constitute a new license, correct?

While all this is very exciting to be able to get the most out of my device by applying these "updates", I'm just curious how long Microsoft will stand for this and start "cracking down" like they have been trying to do with XP and Vista?

Sorry, don't mean to be a "buzzkill" as I'm excited for these development projects, but was just curious on how all the legal issues were in this context.

The ROMS on these phone are for testing purpose. MS is a aware and helping with the update in this case.

It is neat to see, but I would rather see pics with the CDMA versions of these devices. The Treo 750 need a big upgrade very badly. And the GSM version of the Q is comming soon, so it dosn't surprise my to see 6.0 on these devices.

Kind of wondering what this will do for my 750 as well. I really like what I see. Wondering what updates we will get though.
