Question Moto q internet sharing

If this is a taboo subject, please let me know, but up until about a couple of months ago I've been able to utilize my internet sharing through my moto q. I'm not sure what happened, but for some reason i'm now not able to use it. can anyone explain why this happened and possibly refer me to a solution for this? I would much appreciate it. I would rather be able to use my internet sharing rather than PDAnet, as it is much faster and takes up less space on my phones hard drive...

Re: Moto q internet sharing

i'm almost certain that sprint cut off all tethering without a tethering plan. i used to use sprint smartview for my blackberry and my treo, not anymore. even my pre needed some homebrew modifications to tether properly. you can get pricing from sprint but its about 15 a month to tether legitimately, which is our only option for the most part.

Re: Moto q internet sharing

Does the original Sprint Q support internet sharing? Is there a cab or registry tweaks? Thanks

Re: Moto q internet sharing

There is a regedit you can do that takes out the actual "phone-as-modem" connection in the internet sharing app and adds in a basic sprint connection, which allows internet sharing to be used without Sprint being able to tell how the data is being used....just looks like you use alot of net. Not having any luck finding the edit but I will post it if I find it.

Re: Moto q internet sharing

has there been any luck on this? I'm trying to get my old Q up as a spare for tethering. I know there is def a reg edit for the touch pro, I'd imagine it would be similar here..
