REWARD to anyone who can provide SBF File Editing Help

I am in the process of editing the firmware for the Moto Q and I have noticed that any changes that are made to Codegroup 40 prevent the Q from successfully booting. Any change that is made to cg40 makes the device go into bootloader mode and it does not complete loading the operating system. This sounds like a checksum problem but I am having trouble locating it.

I have however located two checksums in the file for code group 40, one which is a 16 bit checksum and one a 32 bit checksum. I can give a reward to anyone who can help me find the checksum that the bootloader is using and help me modify it to solve this problem.

As for the reward for your help, I am pretty flexible. How about a 16GB IPOD or a couple of PDA phones? We can work out the details, please pm me if interested.
