Sprint Moto Q Patch Issue

SO heres the scoop. went to moto's site and downloaded the SU. ran it and it made my phone a paperweight. called sprint. its unrecoverable so they are just going to replace my phone. i pick up my new one in the sprint store tomorrow. Needless to say, im scared to run the update on the new one. Any advice?

Yeah at least check what software/radio version you have first b/c most likely your "new" Q already has the update on it

Also the update can be done by the Store tech . If the update is not already done have them do the update for you at the store before you take the Q. If the store says they cant do it there just open the web browser on the Q and go to Favorites/sprint powerdeck/ software updates than let them read the you have two options page.

got my new phone this morning and the update was already installed. awesome. only craptacular part is that I didn't have all my contacts backed up so I lost all of that. I had about 90% of them in my old phone though, so no biggie. just glad to have a working q again. thanks guys.
