After Threaded SMS installed on Q my friend cant send or recieve txt messages

Hello All. I recently (last night) installed CodyPPC Threaded txt message app on my friends Motorola Q phone (the Original not the current ones). the app was constantly crashing so he uninstalled it. however he is no longer able to receive text messages to his phone and he may not be able to send either (sending is delayed by hours at best). Any Suggestions on how to fix this?
