EQO Mobile for Chat & Skype?

Has anyone tried this on the Q? I looked at it a while back when I had a Treo, but it did not work with CMDA 1xRTT. The Q is listed as a supported device but you need J2ME. But, it looks like it is a 'free' IM program that supports all platforms which is interesting. Don't care much about Skype on a cell phone though.

(Yes, Malatesta, that's me under a different name at Qusers...)

hmm...haven't tried it.

I can't say I'm too psyched about running Java apps though as they don't (can't) really interface with the OS as much as a native app, so you can't work it into your notifications system, home screen (plugins), etc.

Yep, after further review, I agree. Apparently running J2ME on the Q is not an easy task. Can be done, but it is a hack from what I have read. They (EQO) state that the Q is supported, but isn't really.....
