Red face contact question

While looking at a contact of mine the other I noticed that there was a green dot by it. Upon opening it up it said did i want to google chat. The next day the contact colorwas blue does anybody know what these mean. ??

Re: contact question

That means you, and them, have google talk activated. Green on thier contact means that thier phone is on and Gtalk is active and you can summon them to chat. Not sure what blue means.

If you don't use Gtalk, it is suggested you turn it off as it will eat your battery life polling for new activity.

To turn off:

Apps > select talk app > menu (four square button) > select settings > uncheck auto sign in > press the back arrow to go back to main screen > press menu (four square) > press sign out and exit

This will save your battery life.
