how to unlock droid?

I want to unlock the Droid to work on Sprint's network. How can I do that? The radio is compatible. Has anyone successfully unlocked a CDMA Android 2.0 phone?

There's no legal way to do it.

Re: how to unlock droid?

The droid is the first android2.0 device. It will be awhile before your able to do anything with the device that it wasn't designed for.

Re: how to unlock droid?

you can do it, but you need to get all your numbers from Verizon and sprint, and to find 2 reps willing to do that is a pain. esn/phone numbers. it should be the same as any other phone, the only problem is you have to wait for it to be rooted so you can install another radio.

No you cant, you could find the 2 nicest reps in the world and you still wont be able to put the droid on the sprint network legally until they support it. The only way you will be able to do it before sprint supports it is through esn cloning wich is illegal and phone and text would only work. You can sweet talk a verizon rep to get a outside esn on there network, but you cant sweet talk a sprint rep to do the same because the system just does not allow it.
