Basic Nam Programming

Does anyone know how to manually program the Droid? I am traveling and *228 is not working. I did a hardreset and lost the NAM programming. Thank you for your help!

Re: Basic Nam Programming

Have you tried switching it online through your "My Verizon" account?

Re: Basic Nam Programming

ESN is good in the VZ system, I just need to program the phone. *228 not working - just fails. If I could just get in to the manual programming.... not like the moto's of yesterday.. The DROID pops up with an activation screen that wants to dial OTA. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Basic Nam Programming

Tap the corners of the activation screen (top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left) to bypass activation. Dial ##PROGRAM and have your way.

Re: Basic Nam Programming

There is also the ##PROGRAM method. Dial that out and place it as a call, SPC is 000000. From there change top option that says activation, VZW's default SID nationwide is 2004, 4192 VZW in Tampa area, 42 for Alltel. Pop that in, press back until the phone restarts. If you did it right you'll be on VZW regardless of where you're at and *228 should work just fine. NOTE: If you're roaming well outside a VZW coverage area *228 may do nothing but try to route to customer service, check coverage map on their website.
