Latest Google Maps has Live Wallpaper (2.1+)

Very nice update to google maps includes a live wallpaper that follows your gps co-ordinates.

I cannot get the update to install using Kouch's cyanogenmod rom. Keeps telling me that the package file is not signed correctly. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm running 2.0.1 stock with 2.1 market hack and live wallpaper hack. No problems downloading, installing, or using. Seems to be not use internal gps though?

What do you mean by "live Wallpaper"? Is this only for 2.1 roms? It looks the same to me with a few added features on Droid Mod 1.0. I like the distance measuring tools though!

It's for 2.1 roms or for roms that have live wallpaper enabled. Droid Mod 1.0 has live wallpaper enabled (I know this because I'm running Droid Mod myself). All you have to do is select "Live wallpapers" when you go to change the wallpaper and "Maps" will show up there.

It works, but it seems to be a little slow to load up the maps sometimes.

Won't load or won't install? If won't install, AdamZ's alldroid forum lists step to remove the old verison of Maps so 4.1 will install. It works.

adb root
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/Maps.apk
adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps

Oh ok. Cool. I hadn't tried that. I misunderstood and thought it meant the program itself had a live wallpaper which would make no sense. HAHA

I can't get it to install on Simply Stunning 2.0.3

Chevy has tried helping me but we can't figure it out so I'm just going to flash to his newest version when he releases it (very soon I think). Can't wait to see this live wallpaper and I think the distance measuring stuff will be cool.
