Re: How do I access my server from my Droid?

I actually tried three different computers and made sure file sharing was enabled on them all. I'll have to give it another go when I get home tonight...

Re: How do I access my server from my Droid?

I just found a program today called Websharing. works great basically a ftp site for your phone hooks up ethier way through wifi or over the air. Great interface easy to transfer files between computer and phone.

Re: How do I access my server from my Droid?

Another cool app soon to come to Android is Dropbox. You install it on your computer (or iPhone) and it works like any other folder on your hard drive, however when files are placed in it, it is backed up online. You can have it installed on multiple computers and it will auto-update any changes made to others. You can also access everything online without have to install. Great for me and schoolwork that I do on my laptop traverses to my desktop automatically. And in case I forget an assignment or presentation, I have access to it from anywhere. It has many other features.

http://www.dropbox.com/

Here is a note in their most recent email:

Do you own a Blackberry or Android phone? Don't worry! We've got plenty more mobile magic coming soon!

Happy syncing!

Don't forget that you have to use the actual assigned IP address of the box you are trying to connect to.

Yep, I have all our computers set with static IP addresses.
