Re: Overclock Your Droid. (800MHz, 900MHz and 1GHz)

for me its just like running on 550MHz when i did test a few apps and theres a few who are claiming 1GHz is perfectly stable for them as well.

Re: Overclock Your Droid. (800MHz, 900MHz and 1GHz)

How is the heat and battery life? My charge lasts about 36 hours with normal use. If I'm bored, 18-24 hours. Granted, I have an insane habit of killing EVERYTHING when I put the Droid back in my pocket and I keep autosyncing programs to a minimum. I would think the OC would kill it quicker.

my battery life seems the same so far but i also have those profiles so it underclocks itself depending on whats it doing.

This combined with no 2.1 or any other update last week... I plan on rooting tonight after band practice.

Re: Overclock Your Droid. (800MHz, 900MHz and 1GHz)

Ummmm, this is actually

so damn cool I had to try not to curse in this post!!!!!!!!!
I dont care if overclocking supposedly lowers the lifespan of the CPU either, it only has to last a year before upgrade time

Re: Overclock Your Droid. (800MHz, 900MHz and 1GHz)

I'm running the 800mhz right now and biggest changes ive seen have been that the accelerometer rotates instantaneously now, the browser is faster when loading pages, applications start quicker, and scrolling through the home screen is more fluid.

Re: Overclock Your Droid. (800MHz, 900MHz and 1GHz)

Took me a few tries to get it installed right, kept showing wrong speeds. Have it overclock to 999Mhz atm. Definitely is faster and smooth as hell. gonna give it a few days and see how it runs. Pretty easy to get set up, just don't download the oldest version of SetCPU like I did.
