How to Install Android Apps (apk) to the Droid
 

I just got a new Droid today and I'm curious as to how I would install an apk file to my phone. I downloaded an application from the internet that is in .apk format and I'm lost on what to do from there](*,)

Search for "apps installer" in the market.

Place the file on your Micro SD card. Then you will need a file explorer, I use Astro, explore to the location you put the file and tap on it. Open it with the app installer and it will install. :)

Thanks for the quick responses. Using the astro file explorer was the easiest method for me
