any place to get used/cheaper droid X?

I'm waiting for the next version of this phone but since it looks like it might be a while, I may just get the X now. Verizon still wants $199, and oddly, eBay has it for $350 (why would it be more there?!?). Is that really the market price now, with the phone having been out for a good while and new 4G ones coming, or am I just not searching in the right place? Is there a good place to get used one?

Mike

They are cheaper on ebay because they are contract free...

With verizon you have to sign 2 yr contract to get for $199

I think verizon has a refurb for $150

That's about the only options you have

HTC and samsung just came out with 4G phones... i think i would get one of those
Not saying anything bad about X, but 4G is the future

I'm there, whatever the cost, if Verizon had one! I need it soon - my HTC Imagio is giving out... I'd love to get an HTC product that has specs and form factor like or better than the X. Is Verizon already selling an HTC 4G version that's better than the X? I hear they plan to, but if it's 3 months from now, I'm afraid my current phone won't make it Do you know if the HTC 4G phone you're referring to is available at Verizon any time soon (or anywhere, to be used on a Verizon network)?

Believe it or not, I just ordered mine from Walmart.com for $49. New Verizon customers get it for $29

Re: any place to get used/cheaper droid X?

Would "free" suit you?
I just extended my existing Verizon account & got 2 DX's free from WireFly. You can start new service & get the same deal.

You're gonna have to "sign up" though.....that's the case w/ any company; get their hooks into ya.

Wirefly gets mixed reviews....seems like everybody is happy that got phones that worked. Those that got a lemon or had to return were pretty universally pissed.

I got a Blackberry from em 2 years ago, works fine to this day, and these DX's seemto be workin fine....ordered em THu night, got em Saturday at 1pm via Fedex.

Good luck
