Wifi Tethering and phone Internet access

After rooting and installing the wifi tethering app on the DX, when a wifi device is connected to the DX and accessing the Internet can the DX also continue to access the Internet at the sametime?

I have a similar app on my WinMo TP2 and when a device is using the wifi tethering, the TP2 cannot access the Internet itself.

Yeah you can still use the data for sending email and web browsing ... while tethering.

How about bluetooth? Does wifi tethering turn off the bluetooth radio?

I ask because I decided to try VZW's 3G Hotspot service for a week while I go out of town. So far I hate it.
1) turning the 3G Hotspot turns off the bluetooth radio. I like to listen to music/podcasts/etc at work while having my personal laptop connect to the hotspot. Cannot do this with the 3G Hotspot.
2) the 3G Hotspot shuts off when the screen turns off.

On my VZW Touch Pro 2 I was able to do all the above.

On thing I like about the 3G Hotspot is that it runs in infrastructure mode and supports WPA.
