Has anyone heard of $99 Droid X directly from VZW?

I have been having difficultly with my current phone and after doing a bit of "talking" VZW wasn't able to change the model of my phone to another model. I did however told them I was really waiting for the Windows7 phone promised in November. I also told them I have interest in the Droid X but that $200 was not in my budget.

After I was put on hold for a few minutes, I was then offered a Droid X for $99. I still find it hard to believe its $99, but I will believe it when I see it when they are finally able to ship it to me approximately in 4 weeks.

Are you eligible for New Every Two? That basically gives you a $100.00 credit on a phone every two years. Maybe that's the diff? Maybe they are just giving you the credit in the interest of Cust. Sat?

That's what I was wondering...I heard about the $100 credit, and just wondering if I was getting a deal or just what I get for being a normal customer.

When I logged in to My Verizon, I got the $99.00 price too. If you Google Verizon promo code, one came up and I was able to get another $10.00 off. Yeah!
