Anyone else having horrible battery life?

I've tried running the stock screen setup AND running bunches of widgets & both are draining my battery. NOW, I'm running backlight low, no GPS, no WiFi, no Bluetooth. And teh battery is just running down.

I took it off the charger @ 6:40am, listened to 50 mins of music, about 40 text message, NO internet and less than 6hrs later I'm @ 30%.

Any thoughts or tips????

Re: Anyone else having horrible battery life?

i noticed the battery draining pretty fast a day or two ago.

i ended up installing the. fast rebooter and advanced task killer.
the rebooted is like a soft reset

and the other closes unused apps, oh yeah try cachemate if you are rooted it i believe there is a cachemate for unrooted

Yep I'm Rooted & doing all of the above. Thanks. ... I'm thinking about doing a hard reset and starting from so scratch with apps that I know I want I instead of testing everything under the sun.

Thanks again for responding.

Re: Anyone else having horrible battery life?

My battery life was bad the first week, has gotten better though. My friend told me his droid did the same. Kinda like a break in period. Not sure why though.

Re: Anyone else having horrible battery life?

Do you guys notice any difference with your Battery when you set it to Smart Mode or Battery saver , in the settings > battery manager > battery profile.

i have it set to smart mode, in normal use and while tethering.
When i stream with Sirius i set it to battery saver mode. it seems to last a while, but i always have to charge the phone at least once in the afternoon. it always has a full charge in the morning.

PATIENTLY WAITING on Seidio to make a extended battery for this thing

I switched to battery saver mode with brightness set to 18. Also installed a bunch of trial and unused programs. One of them must have been killing the battery because now I'm running great! Been off the charger for almost 6 hours and still showing 80%. Sill wanting the extended battery though...

Make sure your email syncing is changed from every 15 mins to like every hour that is a big part of the battery life
