Well, I confused "upgrade is up" with "contract is up" and couldn't get a phone today (well, I could have for an extra $105 doing ETF, but I would lose my number) because my contract is up in April. Oh well, at least my buddy got one.

Mine was not up either and i got mine for 199.00 , Call support and ask about the 3g extension i think it was called or something similar. Mine should be here tomorrow.

I talked to customer support over a week ago and they said there was some promo going on that you can extend your contract even if it's not up. When i purchased the phone at 3 am this morning it charged me over $500.00 for it so i called them back said what's the deal and they said for some reason the promo is not working online so a rep had to do it manually give it a try. And congrats on the free droid!

The promotion is that if your contract is up anytime in 2010, you are able to extend your contract and get the phone at the 2 year price. But you have to call a rep because the promo is not working from the website.

Dont feel bad. I have two upgrades available now but wont waste them on the DX. A locked bootloader and claymore mined OS is enough to keep me away from it.

I'm not that concerned that there probably won't be custom ROMs - the phone is snappy as a motherf***er as is.

Yeah not a worry here still have a upgrade available so when something else comes out will just pass this one on to the wife. And like stated above it is snappy, played with one the day before and was very impressed.
