VZW giving "instant" rebate for DX web orders

I talked to 2 different reps yesterday (because you never know with those guys!) . . . And both confirmed that if you order the DX online through your Verizon Wireless account, they are applying the $100 on the spot - with no waiting for the Visa debit card.

BUT, if you pick it up in the store, you will have to do the rebate form, unless you can convince the store manager to give you an account credit.

They both also said that they're "anticpating" the online sales to start EARLY either on the night of the 13th or 14th, with free 2-day shipping. Of course, you may call and get a different answer. I'm just reporting what I was told.

That's not unusual. It it done this way for every phone they sell online.

Well, it actually is unusual in my experience. The last two phones I got online through my account that had rebates didn't offer me the instant rebate credit. And when I called Sales, they wouldn't budge on me having to wait for the cards in the mail.

A lot easier for them all processed via internet less hassle having someone open up envelopes and try to read peoples crappy hand writing like my own. Will be happy to do it this way myself.

I will be going from a O2 to the DX.

I wish. Unfortunately though the answer is no. I have to wait a while longer yet.
