Unless you have an older contract that had $100 off before Verizon changed the amounts we get for NE2.

Yep! I've had a $39.99+ plan (individual & family) since 2004. So, I got grandfathered in, thankfully!

i'm only 9 or 10 months into my contract on my tp2, but i'm determined to find a way to get the droid x next month without paying full price. hopefully there is some way to do it. wishful thinking. i have droid x fever really bad. i been folowing it for months.

Yeah man. Me too! LOL! I even broke out my Samsung Omnia to try to convince myself I didn't need a keyboard. LOL! Selling it on eBay now to pay for the Droid X. That way there's no side-eye looks from the Mrs! Sell the Omnia & accesories for $150, pay $99 for the Droid X, have $50 left over to go towards VZW's $99 32gb micro-sd card!!! That's $49 TOTAL out of pocket FTW!

I also have a NE2 worth 100 but I just found out it is only good for the PRIMARY line and not the secondary so even though I can get mine for 100, i will have to pay the 200 for my wifes.

That's sad but true. For about 2 years, for business purposes, we had two accounts and my wife's line was separate, earning her a NE2 as well. Now that we've consolidated all lines onto a share plan, her discount is gone.
All additional lines should qualify for discount pricing @ renewal date. . . . BUT since they're grandfathering all 2010 accounts into this thing, that $199 probably IS the renewal discount. . . . Pardon my babbling! LOL!
