USB cables?
 

I recently made the leap from an HTC touch pro to the Droid 2 and I'd like to get an extra USB cable or two so I can use it at work and other places. Will any regular USB to micro USB cable work? Where is the best place to get them? monoprice?

I did a little research on my own and it seems micro USB is a pretty standard format so usually any old micro USB cables will work for PC syncing and charging. I bought a couple of these http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 from Monoprice, let's hope they work.

Ive bought cheap cables from ebay all the time and over the years and never had any issues.

The Motorola Droid 2 has a micro usb that is different from the standard micro you might use with HTC. You are may not be able to sync via cable like at work. The Droid uses WiFi to connect to your PC for sync'ing not Activsync lie your touch pro.

i think you might be confusing micro with mini. i believe tp2 uses mini and droid uses micro

Yeah, the TP and the Droid 2 use different USB types. The cables I got from monoprice work perfectly. One of them I use at work to plug into my PC and charge/play music and the other I use with the USB charger that came with my TP and it works great charging my phone overnight.
