Invalid Battery ID

Has anyone seen/found a workaround for it?
It shows me that error and resets when I try to use a generic replacement battery. With its original battery works fine (I just wanted to have an extra battery).

Dear feliciano

You have to bought the same battery (written as LG 400 V ) Not like LG 400 N.

I have also bought a battery for as extra battery. but that was not working, I have tried to check its circuitry but it is not matching with any battery in India.
I think you have to import from USA or buy from ebay.com.
I do not know where are you living. But in India it is not available.
I had tried to bought from ebay.com after paying in dollar i.e. 7 dollar with shipping. but item was not reached to me because they sent it with normal postal way without any tracking number.
In ebay.in it is very costly like 1300 to 1400 Rupees. where as I bought the set only for Rs.6000/-.means one forth the cost of the set.
So presently I have stopped my idea to purchase the battery.

Re: Invalid Battery ID

Thanks for your reply, hero121.

Actually the troublesome battery is a KGIP 400V bought from China, because, same as you, I thought to buy one from Amazon but it would cost me more the shipping than the battery, so I won't do it unless my main battery dies before the phone.

Thanks again for the reply, and I'll leave the question open just in case somebody knows how to fool the phone to take it.

Dear headhair

I found a battery of LG make in India that fit exact in the battery slot and the same design. Only the difference is ( LGIP 400N instead of KGIP 400V ). I have tried so many place in our local and nearest cities. But I did not found.

The problem is when you put the battery and press on it screen lighted up, But I show on screen like [ Battery ID Invalid ] and light goes off. again you start the phone again start the screen on written as Battery ID invalid.
You may check perhapses you can find a solution for this.
Thanks

Dear Sir,

The battery is not with me at present, because I had returned to seller. So I can not check at present for what was exactly written on the display. but the problem was same as I have mentioned earlier.

Dear
For battery replacement I purchased a local battery of the same size. Then I torn upper part of both the battery and remove the inbuilt polymer battery having two terminal + and - . Then I removed the electronic circuit part of the original battery without damaging the circuit parts and boards then I solder the the two terminal + and - to the new battery and fitted into the broken old housing of the battery.
Now it is working fine, but the backup is same as before as I have not used a battery like nokia brand. but is working fine.
I have attached the image of my broken battery but it is fully working.
