wm6 for 8125
 

can you use the wm6 upgrade for the wm5 1825 Cingular

i have the ppc6700 from verizon and was wondering if i could add the wm6 to the 1825 by cingular my buddy has?

or does anyone have the wm6 for 1825

go to the wizard section of xda there are a bunch of wm6 roms there.

HOW-TO:: Upgrade from Windows Mobile 5 to Windows Mobile 6:
1) Download the latest Windows Mobile 5 ROM from http://www.america.htc.com/support/8...downloads.html
2) Run RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship_1.e xe (51.9MB).

3) Follow the instructions, BE PATIENT, installing WM5 really does take over 10 minutes! Your HTC Wizard or Cingular 8125 has not hung, not even at 99%, but it does take time to flash the ROM on your Windows Mobile device.
4) Your phone will reboot.
6) After calibrating your screen, Windows Mobile 5 will install additional software for your phone.
7) Download the Windows Mobile 6 ROM (Faria) from http://rapidshare.com/files/21013656/CB-AIRAF.exe.

8) Run CB-AIRAF.exe (62.1MB), enter "crossbow" (no quotes) as the password.

10) Your phone will reboot.

Upgrading to the latest WM5 ROM prior to upgrading to WM6 ensures that your radio ROM and OS is the latest, and will support the new WM6 ROM from Faria and Molski.

I try to update and whe it gets to 99% it gives an error what can it be?

I get the same error and now my screen is stuck on the 3 color screen and my computer will not link with it. What can be done?

anyone know if you can put touchflo wm5

go to xda-developers.com for info on resolving your issues including the 3 colorbar stuck issue. cooking an 8125 is a bit involved so you really need to do a lot of reading up. but that site has all the stuff. I suggest the TNT or the Hornet build. previous to that, you need to make sure you unlock the phone PROPERLY. then give it a good base build. And you will likely need to downgrade your radio rom. I have done this successfully for a friend.

wm6 on cingular 8125 is possible, you have to know first if your 8125 is g3 or g4. then you have to hard spl it then you can flash a new rom.
