How hard to replace screen

I have an older sprint touch with the screen perfectly intact.. My current sprint touch screen is kinda effed up. How hard would it be to switch out screens?

Just wanna know if its worth my time..

Re: How hard to replace screen

Probably about $40 bucks online for the screen and 30-45 minutes to swap the screen. I bought a digitizer screen for my Sprint Touch from dino direct for under $6 bucks and did it myself in about that much time. Here's a really good disassembly guide at:

Re: How hard to replace screen

when i had changed over from alltel to verizon i couldnt stand the slick white case so i exchanged it for my alltel case. i thought it would be tough but not at all as long as you have the right torx head screwdriver. to change out the screen its just a few screws more and not that hard at all .. there actually is a step by step with pictures under the thread talking about the verizon cases having cracks form in it..you can do it just be brave.

Re: How hard to replace screen

Maybe I can use this guide to replace my knicked up black housing with a white housing from ebay. Also, where can you buy a new screen as well? I would like to put a new screen on, one with a better viewing angle....

Re: How hard to replace screen

Hi guys,

I lost the tiny piece of plastic that holds the connection between the wire of the digitizer and the circuit board.

Now of course my digitizer won't respond Do you know the piece number or where I could get such a tiny catch?

Thanks!

I have a old touch that's good for parts. $20.00 I'll send you the hole thing.
Thanks T M Z

Thanks for the offer, but $20 for a tiny piece of plastic connector is a bit steep... Plus shipping to Canada

I'm more looking for a place where I could buy just that connector for a dollar or so...

Thanks!
