The white screen issue is easily fixed. Open the Default text file and read about the vogue panel. The very last line has the set up info, change the panel entry from 1 to 3. If you still have issues try 2.

Okay, so I cleared out my card and ran it with success. You need to have at least 130MB free on your card for the data.img file that is created at boot-up. If you have less than that the loading will fail.

It's normal, we know about it and we (as devs) are working to fix it. The hero build contains some htc code for the radio interface that's a little different.
We're trying to get it fixed.
