GPS wont fix

i have read and read and tried and tried.... but to no avail. here within the past 60 days i would say, i flashed a rom that has caused issue with GPS and I seem to be the only one with the issue.

GPS will look and look and never find GPS to lock on to. and hence, never lock location.
i have tried multiple ways of locking- com 4, intermediate driver, using HTC GPS, through BING, everything comes back "unable to locate GPS, please make sure da da da...."

is there an update or something that i have missed in the past few days/weeks/months? if there has been, where can i find it?
as i use my GPS on a semi irregular basis, this is not a big loss, however, there is a time coming (soon) where i will need it on a daily basis. if i can get this fixed i would be greatly appreciative.

thanks in advance

Re: GPS wont fix

shaggy - i just tried that with the patch. no locky. man, it is frustrating since my previous vogue locked GPS great. maybe the replacement is locked down or something? i have 3.42.5, pri of 1.42. i didn't let customizations run with MR1 or Sprint. it is baffling. i ran QPST - tweaked the IPs. which IP works well with the verizon?

I recommend you use and follow this guide:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=533639

Your gps on verizon should work then.

Re: GPS wont fix

thx. i finally figured it out. i followed the verizon gps fix posted here. still didn't work. i finally took a guess and set Agps=0 in the registry and I got 3 sats locked. I guess you either use aGPS or GPS. I turned off aGPS and everything locked instantly!

Ok, glad you got it working.
That tutorial is supposed to unlock things so AGPS works so you might try it if your lock seems inaccurate.
