Roms?

I have been an avid lurker but have a couple of questions that might seem naive. I have a xv6900, updated to the 6.1 unofficial update and have the GPS unlocked working flawlessly. I am using SPB mobile shell for some ease of use.

If I was to totally unlock and add a new rom, what would I gain? Speed, or more functions. This is primarily a standard PDA with email and a pretty good phone.
My biggest gripe on this unit is the actual phone functions. I hate it that I have to hit a button to go back to keypad while in a call or if in key pad hit the call status button to hang up properly. a screen with all the above together would make this a great phone.

Re: Roms?

You need to search around the forum. The custom roms are what they are.

If you have a question about a particular ROM, post a question on that thread about the dialer, etc...

The only real gain going to a full unlocked rom, if you are using the GPS patch on the VZW right now instead, is a faster GPS with direct access to the com port, which some apps require.
