Question Verizon XV 6900 (touch) Problem

Phone was working fine, but has been acting funny.
I've downloaded a few apps, (weatherbug, Win Live Search, FetchIt) and put them on the storage card. They all work very well.

MY PROBLEM:
Now, my messaging is screwy. When I push the messaging button, or select it from the drop down quick list...it won't launch. Nothing. I cannot get to my email at all. I've shut down the phone, removed the battery several times...nada.

All other things are functioning normally.

I tried removing some of the programs. When I removed Win Live Search, it said it had to shut down OUTLOOK. Could this have something to do with it? I don't use it for email, I connect to POP mail (Yahoo, Midconet)...but OUTLOOK is in the email/text list. How do you turn it on...so to speak?
I've been poking buttons all day! HELP!

Thanks...I know there are many geniuses around here!

Re: Verizon XV 6900 (touch) Problem

I have an idea...

I had the same problem with mine a couple of days ago. I found that no amount of restarting/soft-resetting could help the problem. I removed my storage card, and the messaging app worked fine so I figured it must be something on te storage card. What solved it for me was that I deleted the "Inbox.mst..." folder from my storage card. I get a lot of large attachments in my E-mail and have set all attachments to be saved to the card. When I deleted this folder, the messaging app started right up, and the E-mail program created a new "Inbox.mst..." folder on the card. It has been working fine ever since (about a week).
