I/O device error - sd micro memory card

so i know this prob isn't the correct place for this issue... but.. I can not get any files from my SD card and when i put it in the card reader my desktop says that there is an I/O device error. I do have a lot of pictures on there that I want to restore. has anyone had this problem before or do you know how to fix it? if you do have any insight that would be awesome. thanks in advance!

The same thing happend to me. I wasn't able to see any files on my SD card. The next day something half fixed it. I was able to see all of my files except for the Music folder with my MP3's. I still can't see it. When I try to plug it into a Card reader, XP won't see the card at all. It's weird because on my Device I can see everything and Active sync can also. Neither places can see the MP3's though. On my device it still has the same amount of used space that the MP3's are taking up but they can't be seen like I said. I'd like to format it but I've had no luck trying to do it.

well i can't see the card on my device at all. can't see the card in active sync. tried data recovery software from the internet... nothing. the card some how got corrupt. sucks..
