Just received a Text message from sprint informing us about the wm6.1 update and giving the website. How far behind are they really? Crazy.

Here is my reply from HTC directly

Basically the question was this:

I have just received a text message regarding the new ROM released, but this ROM was released almost 2 months ago - could this be a glitch and there is a new ROM by another filename and this filename was released by accident?

I also asked for some information regarding to the Touch HD that some info was released about the other day in the email as well hence the reason for the reference to that as well

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the text message about the ROM update.

I understand how important it is to have the latest updates for your device. The text message that you are referring to was sent out by Sprint, not HTC. We do not have an updated ROM for your device, evidentially Sprint simply sent out another round of messages.

We do appreciate your interest in the HTC Touch HD. At this time we do not have any official information regarding a release in the United States or the carriers that will be having the phone. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
