Touch Screen not working

Hey folks,

Tried to search for this, didn't have any luck finding a similar issue. My touch screen on my HTC touch is no longer working. Nothing happens when I press the screen now, even tried a few soft resets and removing the battery.

I think this may be related to a setting for the touch threshold I changed using Advanced Config tool, as I did a couple changes last night, can't recall specifically, but I think I just went back to default for most?

So now when I come back from a soft reset, phone goes into Lock Mode, and I can't unlock it with the touch screen.

I have the new Bell ROM on my phone. I'm thinking I"m screwed, and I need to do another hard Reset, to reflash the phone. Unless someone here has any suggestions?

post the reg. edits you did (if you know). always use a back up tool such as sktools or pimbackup or write down original settings. hard reset time maybe comming.

Thanks Darren. Luckily, I do have PIM Backup which I did, although last time was about 3 weeks ago. I think I'm going to do the Hard reset.

Question, though, since my last PIM Backup, I have a few new contacts. Anyone know how I could copy the contacts file or something, via active sync explore? The move it back over after? Or do I just lose the new contacts.

Going to reflash with the new Bell ROM again. Took a brief look at the Cooked roms...got a little confused though

at least you have a back up. i have my back up set to back up every day in the morning so its always uptodate. just an option as for cotacts put them to pc and your all good.
