1st regedit

Hi been using my alltel vogue for 3 or so months now and almost ready to try my 1st regedit. Been doing lots of reading but feel I still need more, so,

1)can anyone point me to some good reading on this please?

2)can anyone tell me if i need to remove mem card in order to do regedits (so as to lose no info from back-up stored on card)

3)any other things I need to have before getting started?

The first edit I am going to make is GLYPHCACHE, unless someone thinks something else would be better to begin with. I would also like to do the unlock, WM 6.1 update and maybe a new cutom diamond rom or something like that down the road,
Thanks
Brad

No need to remove the SD card. In fact you might want to backup to it before you start.

MAKE NOTES! You probably won't crash your phone if you're careful but you may want to manually undo your changes and it's mighty easy to forget what you did.

Re: 1st regedit

make sure to pull out the camcorder to capture all those good memories. one day you'll be telling your grandchildren about this...your first regedit!

but serious now, don't worry about memory card, and I would suggest a different one to try simply because you probably won't really notice the results anyway. try changing the icon names on the cube or something.
