modify a custom ROM?

Is it possible to modify an already custom rom made by someone else? I've tried quite a few Roms from here and have decided to stick with DH's black vista ROM. The only thing I would like to change is the clock. Is it just a font that changes the appearance of the clock? How do i go about changing this

Re: modify a custom ROM?

you can always try hhcfinal v1. it allows you to customize home screen. Here are 2 download links and then a link to xda explaining it.

Don't know exactly. You can decompile, edit, rebuild and then flash them, but they won't get past the first boot-up screen. I've come to identify the roms by the missing user.hv and default.hv out of the ..\sys\metadata directory.

You wouldn't have a fix/answer would ya?

This would be the way I'd do it. HHC gives you tons of options for the HTC Home plugin. I have mine running with the Diamond clock-(Note-not available in downloads, I extracted them from the kitchen oems) but if you want here they are....
