Re: gps question

i like destinator 7. it requires no priming. it seems a lot of people like igo but i didn't find the interface very intuitive.

Re: gps question

I love iGo. Nicer interface than TomTom. It calculates routes very quickly for me.

I went to there website and it seems it is only an oem product. Since it is not on the stock Sprint rom I am assuming it is not available for purchase etc... And I believe his question is for free alternatives. I am using Tom Tom 7 but have trouble with it detecting my gps which sucks because it is not a cheap program.

Re: gps question

1 more vote for Destinator. It's simple and very usable. 1 thing about other navigation software is that the maps use a lot of space in ur card. Garmin requires 2 gigs for their maps. Iguidance is about a gig or so. Destinators maps is all separate depending on areas such as midwest, southeast of whatever. I only use 1 of these area coz I do not go out of state that much. It only uses 133mb for my chosen map. If I do however go out of state, I will load the whole maps including canada which is less than a gig and take it out when not in use. So I can use my card space for something else like my mp3's and videos. I have a GPS that uses the same destinator software too that's why I pick this software. I actually took the map off my GPS and use it on my phone so they are exactly the same including POI's. I can even get the voice files if I want but I will leave it different so I wont get tired of listening to her. LOL

iGo allows you to select parts of the US as well.
