Uh Oh... EPST gurus, help

Well I ran the latest telus rom on my bell phone, and allowed the customizations to run...

So, Using my GF's phone I was actually sucessful in copying most/enough of the proper settings from her epst to make my phone work, but I cannot get the internet to work.. I am missing from the security>HDR AN AUTH Password(long).. Is this phone specific? I also copied some other settings in the mip as well...

I think it is possible for me to keep the updated PRI, if I can figure this out, I tryed calling the provisioning line like telus has but it refused to update my phone.

I am thinking of running the bell ppst, but i'm kinda worried it will take me back to the old PRI. I would really like to get this to work as is just to see if i can. I think i'm really close.

Re: Uh Oh... EPST gurus, help

Yeah, I caved and ran the Bell PPST, even though it changed the info in the programming and also the version #, it seems to have kept all the "extra" options of the new PRI.... I am going to copy down the info that I was missing and also backup via QPST then reflash using the Telus PPST and see if I can't get it working for curiositys sake. Thanks for the info.

Thats just it, bell has never released an update for my phone and probably never will :P

Either way it's working now.. just not the way I wanted it to.. So back to tinkering I go.

Is your GPS performance any better with the updated PRI?

Re: Uh Oh... EPST gurus, help

Undetermined as of yet. Using the latest leaked telus rom and radio, so far it's been pretty pathetic.. I am just attempting to hard reset, let customizations run, then reprogram the epst and see if that does anything.. as of right now though, it's not even polling for gps service.. If only I could find out bells AGPS server ip/port.. that would be a huge help.. may have to go onto my old nokia and see if i can dig it up.

Re: Uh Oh... EPST gurus, help

That's not true. Bell DID release a ROM upgrade awhile back. Fixing bluetooth issues and a few other things.

When in doubt, play dumb. They'll never know.
