blown speakers?

Hey guys I've never installed a modified audiopara file or done anything to boost volume...but ever since I flashed a 3.xx radio rom to my phone it sounds like my speakers are blown at any higher volume than the middle selection. This goes for phone speaker as well as the speakerphone. All my rings have a crackling sound and all my phone calls sound like crap. Anyone else experiencing this? My phone is under one month old.

Re: blown speakers?

I have been experiencing what seems to be a blown phone speaker as well, my music/speakerphone/ringers are fine, but when I turn up the phone speaker to 1/2 or higher it crackles like it is blown. I noticed a while after putting one of the new ROMs on, but I don't blame it. I never messed with audio either.

Re: blown speakers?

exactly my problem too...it seems the new leaked roms allow your volume to go higher than stock, and the speakers cant take it. That's from my own findings. Im taking my phone in for repair tomorrow so we'll see if they're blown

Re: blown speakers?

Good luck, with a hacked ROM I would assume they might say too bad, your fault. That is the MO for Telus here.
