some quick noob questions (gps)

hey all just got my sprint touch and updated to the official wm 6.1 rom and its working great...i use the sprint nav (telenav) for gps and wondering what is exactly meant by a "lock" as ive seen around the forums...i also have seen that running the ppst.exe file in the windows folder issupposed to help in some sort of way...but how do i go about locating this to run it? also does using the sprint nav cost extra? i have a data plan but idk if using this will incur additional charges. im new to all this sry lol thanx for the input!

hi, if when you installed the updated rom you let the carrier customizations run you wont need to run the ppst file
as the installation runs it for you. if your wondering were it is rub the file explorer program and browse to your windows directory.as far as the sprint telenav app it has a free trial, after the trial its $3 for 24hrs access or $10 a month. I would recommend google maps (free), or igo\tomtom if you want real turn by turn navigation. there is a igo8 beta floating around, highly recommend it.
