HTC Touch with MS Streets and trips GPS module ?

Hi I have the external S&T 2007 GPS module... It has a USB A interface... Can i use this on my HTC Touch ? I suppose i will need some kinda of adapter to make it fit in this weird looking USB on the Touch right?

Also, is there some module I can buy to use with the GPS module to make it bluetooth and use it over BT if that's even possible?

Thanks

I highly doubt there is any software to make the S&T GPS adapter work with a PPC of any sort to be honest.... and the Touch has built in GPS that works nicely if you're willing to get your hands dirty and do some ROM flashing with your phone so I wouldn't bother wasting your time trying to get the s&t module to work.

http://www.amazon.com/Pharos-PXT12-B.../dp/B000652LTW

it will work with 2006 version, not sure if they change the hardware or not. that's what you are looking for, but at that price, you might as well buy a bluetooth gps reciever for about the same price, or even less. (never mind you will be a much better chipset, most likely...)

yes build in gps works very well indeed, i no longer use my bt gps.

Re: HTC Touch with MS Streets and trips GPS module ?

I have the 2006 SIRF III GPS-500 (PHAROS) receiver with the USB cable... i thought I could use the USB out and get a female to female USB adapter to plug them in...
Does it have to be bluetooth to work... i've order the adapter... i'll let u know when i get it...

oh yeah i know about the flashing part but ive heard mixed reviews that it doesnt always work consistently without a hard reset or something like that or take long to lock in... i thought since i already have this module i was using with my laptop, why bother flashing and void my warranty

I've had trouble configuring active sync via bluetooth ... havent really used the bluetooth for anything else... so im wondering if the BT adapter for the GPS is going to be compatible...that must be standard right?
