Help with Device Lock

Just got my Touch yesterday from Sprint and I LOVE IT! Been search these forums for a while now and everything has been really helpful! Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I searched and could not find anything.

I keep my phone in my pocket, so I really need the screen and buttons to be locked. First I was using the lock feature on the HTC Today screen, but even when the screen is locked if someone would call my pocket would press the "answer" part of the screen. So that won't work.

I installed S2U2 which I LOVE, but same thing -- if someone calls or txts it still leaves the option to press "answer" or "reply" in the pocket.

What I want is a way to hit the power button on top of the device and have it totally locked until I chose otherwise (like slide in s2u2 or hit the center d-pad key to unlock the device). Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

You can turn that feature off in S2U2. Or at least hide the soft keys. i have had my touch since Dec. keep mine in my pocket. and i would whip it out to all kinds of programs running rampant... Until i got S2U2.

I second S2U2. Seems to be the best option we have for the Pocket PC.

Re: Help with Device Lock

Oh shlt, my bad man. I forget to tell you switch on the DPAD. (Space cadet moment for today, lol) After you get that set then you would have to hold the DPAD right button down to unlock the phone. im not saying this is 100%, but im pretty sure nothing in your pocket will be able to press that button, and if it does it would have to hold it for a second or to while the slider travels across the screen. Hope this helps better. Again, my bad.

Re: Help with Device Lock

Is there a way to lock the soft keys while in call?

When I'm done talking on the phone I always find a bunch of stuff opened.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I always turn the screen off before i put the phone to my face. Or i believe S2U2 has an option to blank the screen during a call. Actually i just checked, and it does. In the settings under "On Battery Power:" Its the last option "'Blank Screen On Talk". Just flip that to on and you should be good to go.
