Oz Messenger trouble
I am getting an error timeout code 504 when I try and sign onto yahoo on the Oz Messenger. I have never had this happen before and don't want to hard reset if I can get away with it. Would appreciate any feedback you might have

I just tried logging in tonight and received the timeout while signing into yahoo or aim. MSN connected fine. Weird. Maybe i'll try the re-install tomorrow.

did you try to sign onto a different yahoo name? i searched that error code and found a thread with someone that had the same problem and they said that it was only one screen name because he could sign onto other yahoo screen names just fine.

Its still not working.. I use the same name on my desktop application and my contacts load just fine. I am gonna try and uninstall oz and reinstall it.

is oz messenger free? i went to install it the other day and it said something like 20 cents per message.. but i'm guessing that's not the case but i'm making sure..

I have had this issue before as well, but with a different IM program (IM+). I think its got soemthing to do with Yahoo...I'm not sure.

On another note, I would ditch OZ IM...IMHO its doo doo

Jivetalk is MUCH better.

This is because OZ IM uses text messaging to transmit IMs rather than your internet connection. So if you don't have unlimited text messaging, I would go with a different IM program.

Actually, I would go with a different IM program anyway...as I said above...OZ IM is crap
