Telus Touch

Am new to the modding scene, I have a Telus Touch and am looking to upgrade the rom but do not want to brick my phone. Could someone please help with step by step instructions? Once I upgrade the rom on the phone will my phone number be erased? If so how do I reconnect it to the network? Please Help.
Thanks in Advance,
Darien

Re: Telus Touch

Just program it ota after the rom update by dialing *22803. However, if you don't let the customizations run (like all the numerous threads with full instructions say to not do) all the network information should be intact after the update. I've updated my Telus Touch a few times with no problems at all.

Re: Telus Touch

i havent had to program my phone after updating the rom. it just loads them automaticaly. i suggest you goto vouge upgrades(located on this fourm) and get mustan-tech's rom. it seems to be the best one to use for telus touch. DO-NOT use a sprint rom, i think it messed my battery or my charging sensor

Re: Telus Touch

I'm on Telus with a touch and I've cooked my ROM 10 times already and never had to reprogram. I found a few problems with Mustan's ROM so I just used the PPC Kitchen. Just be prepared to do it a few times until you find the right recipe. I think I have to do it one more time, but I am going to wait for a few more days and see what else I might add/remove.
