HTC Touch will not come back after a soft reset

I've followed the Rev A Tutorial and have a working HTC Touch. I went from a Stock Bell ROM -> Vogue_unlocker_MFG_2.31.exe -> Vogue_4350_ALLTEL_WWE_3.04.671.2_Radio_4350H_3 .37.10_Alltel_NV2.00 -> ghettofreeryder vista_generic_700

Everything came back okay however the problem I 've noticed is that when I soft reset the phone while GPSViewer is running the phone never reboots. It becomes as though it's been bricked. The power button on top will not bring it back.

To get it to go again I've had to pull the battery out and then it comes back when I push the power button.
However tonight I pulled the battery after soft resetting and tried to power it back on and it didn't. Scared the crap on of me.

So I'm wondering if anyone else is experienceing this with the Ghettofreeyder vista_generic_700 ROM.
I don't recall having this issue when I was using the OMJ.WM6.1.GPS.BELL ROM.
