Few quick questions before using the leaked Sprint update.

I've looked around in the stickies but haven't found the answers to the following:

1. Is there any information I need to get off my phone before upgrading (like MSID)?

2. Do I have to call up Sprint to reactivate my phone after updating?

3. Will data and voice just work, or is there anything I have to do after updating?

4. Anything else I have to do besides run the Sprint update EXE then Dewman's GPS fix ( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=26410 )? Like use Cokeman's unlocker?

5. Do I run the Sprint update exe from my PC while connected with Activesync, or do I put the exe on my phone?

I'm sure these are all really basic things to many people on here, but I've been reading a lot of stuff here and somehow haven't picked this info up.

Re: Few quick questions before using the leaked Sprint update.

1. You might want to backup your contacts, tasks, appointments, and messages (i suggest pimbackup)

2. No. and please dont. they don't need to know about our leaked ROM.....

3.It will work if done correctly.

4. You will need to unlock with cokeman's newest unlocker-2.31. this thread will help you
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17473

5. also covered in link above.

beware-no one will take responsibility IF your phone is bricked.... please read more than you deem adequate, as upgrading can brick your phone. other than that-flash away!

Re: Few quick questions before using the leaked Sprint update.

Thanks.

One last thing I forgot to ask about: Should I leave the memory card in during the update (should I reformat it before or after)?

also. if ur using the kitchen, u'll need the mem card if ur doing sdautoconfig or tierautoinstall. but that's not necessary.

Re: Few quick questions before using the leaked Sprint update.

I think everything went smoothly, the update is all done and customizations is running right now.

I seen people say that you should do a hard reset after flashing a new rom. Is this necessary?
