Worse reception after the new radio rom

I have recently updated to the ghettofreeride's 710 vista gps rom, but now mo signal in noticeably weaker. I was wondering in any of the gurus (or anyone who knows) if this may be caused by the new radio rom.
p.s. im with telus, and the 710 rom is sprint based.

What radio are you using? Ghetto's ROM (and all cooked ROMs) don't upgrade the radio.

I thought I was getting slower speeds too after upgrading to the leaked Sprint ROM (radio 3.37.15). I ran speedtest last night and my speeds seemed to get better. I was getting DL speeds of ~600-700kbps right after i updated my phone but last night my speeds were much better. Check my sig for my latest speedtest numbers.

I know Ghetto's bars uses the thicker bars rather than the default thin Sprint bars.

Are you going by bars or the RSSI reading in ##DEBUG?

I have re-flashed my radio and the signal is better now. May be placebo but i think its better.
