Cant type on this thing!!!

Hey guys.....just a quick question and comment.....I do a lot of smsing and for some reason I cannot type on this thing!!!...I always miss type words..I have tried PCM kepad switching to landscape mode and everything....its like when I type using the touch keyboard (the letter blocks are decent) i cant seem to type fast or as fast as I would like without messing up...I feel like I hit the correct key but the phone sometimes chooses the key bellow it or soemthing causing the word to be misspelled or have auto correct choose a completly different word...it you get my drift...I did do the reg hack to increase screen sensitivity cause I am using a screen protector...could that be my problem????

This is really starting to get me angry cause I always have to go back and correct....

any thoughts or suggestions???

I had some problems too. i came from the 6700 and was spoiled with the slide out keyboard. I finally installed the touchpal keyboard and love it. looks like it would be confusing, but it really isn't. I can now type 1 handed with it as fast as i could 2 handed on the 6700. Try it, then keep trying the other keyboards out there. You'll eventually find one you like.

I've tried several. Happy tapping, pocketcm keyboard. I'm using resco keyboard now and love it, seems to accommodate my sausage paws well.

I use the built in 20 key keyboard and xt9... I'm at the point where I can text accurately without looking at the keys.. while driving down the road, etc...

Align the screen naturally with the finger or thumb you use most for that side of the screen. My screen was aligned for the stylus and I had the exact problem you did. I came from the samsung i730, but now with the blackberry style 20 key keyboard i'm as fast as I was on my old phone. It took about a week.

edit and xT9 is the shizzo.

I tried that before aligning with my thumb....but then when i use the stylus its way off!!!! I dunno I have PCM and its pretty good but sometimes when I hit a key I guess my thumb covers a nother letter also and the phone thinks i'm typing the other letter instead of what i want....same also with the 20 letter layout ....i dunno....

touchpal is the way to go, but im switching to a q9c, i still cant get over the keyboard.

I use this keyboard and I really seem to like it so far as compared to trying touchpal and PCM. The downside is that's it $9.95 but so far I think it's worth it.
