Help! BT times out after 1 minute

Running WM 6.1 (Derek's v11 ROM)
Listening to Windows Media Player with Motorola S9 Headphones
Music plays fine for a while (less than a minute each time) and then Bluetooth shuts off!??
I'm thinking it's some kind of power saving mode?
Appears to only do this in A2DP mode...

ideas?

Not sure in Dereks Rom V10 this was fine for me, and I have the exact same headphones from Motorola.

It's done this on more than one ROM.
This phone is brand new... had to RMA my 1st one. (Call and End buttons died)
I'm guessing it's the phone. I can't believe it.

Does it die a few seconds after hitting the power button to turn the screen off?

Yes, more or less. I just installed Audio Manager... Rebooted. Deleted the pairing. Re-established the BT connection... and Voila! It appears to be working. Weird. Maybe there was a glitch in the passcoded pairing. But I actually had taken those steps before.

I'll post again if it screws up again.

Thanks for helping.

Re: Help! BT times out after 1 minute

If you hit the power button to shut off screen its going to stop the music playing until you press it again to take the screen out of standby. If thats the case then set you backlight to a low setting to automatically set the screen in standby or use a program like ShutXP and use the link that proggy gives you to turn the screen into standby.

If thats not what is happening then i just wasted this space lol but either way....

Thanks,
I just thought of something.
Maybe the reason I never encountered this before was because I was using S2U2 and
I think it takes care of that when you hit the power button.
Hmmmm....

Actually when I go to the gym I use my touch with my moto S9s and I hit the power button and it keeps playing the music. I can even change songs and volume and the screen stays off. It only turns the screen back on when I hit pause/play on my headset. It didn't used to do this before in V6. But I think i changed something to keep the screen off in that case.

Nope! Doing it again!

Ok,
I bought a new pair of S9 Motorola stereo BT headphones.
They did exactly the same thing.
Returned them.
Cried.

Damn!

So now I'm going to load the original Big Storage ROM and see if it works.
(I still think the phone might be bad)
