Touch Screen going Wacky

My screen has suddenly gone wacky for the last few days. I have to constantly re-align it. I have hard reset my Touch 4 times since and haven't loaded any programs figuring it might be a conflict and it still get un-aligned by itself.
I'm still running everything stock, rom 1.12.651.1, radio 2.13
Is there a program I can load to fix the touch screen program itself?
Can the ROM get corrupted? I never tried to change the ROM.
Do you think my Touch has gone bad
Should I bring it back to Sprint? I have bought the insurance but i'll have to pay the $50 co pay which I don't want to if I can somehow fix it on my own.
Does anyone have a fix or any idea? Thanks

It seems that no one else has this problem since there was no replies. Luckely my Touch screen is now working okay. I hard reseted the unit again. Didn't add any apps for a fews days, then add a couple a day. It seems to be okay now for three days. Maybe the secret is to don't add any apps immediately after a hard reset.

Re: Touch Screen going Wacky

Try and clean around the edges of the screen. See if that works. Might be screwing it up because it thinks that your hitting the screen in two places..

If that dont work take it to sprint. I forget what the part that makes it touch screen but that might be going bad.

I thought the touch screen program was going bad also. The pointer would sometimes be an inch off where I want to click and at times I couldn't even realign it because I can't get to the realign program so I had to hard reset it. But now it's working. If it acts up again, I need to use the insurance. I hate to pay the $50 copay. Thanks

I had the same problem. You are explaining exactly what happened to me. I just took it to the store and they replaced it. I tried everything I could find. Just get it fixed or replaced. You will save yourself a lot of pain. I feel your pain.

Thanks, it was hell. when it doesn't work I wanted to throw it against the wall.
But when it does the Touch is the best thing in the world.

Check to see if you have TEP insurance for $7. TEP is a combination of the lost\damage\h2o insurance and the in store repair insurance. If you have TEP then you can go to a sprint repair center and they will swap it without a deductable. The only time you need to pay the $50 deductable is when its lost or has physical or water damage.

Thanks. Thats good to know. I do have the $7 replacement plan but I don't know what it entails. I thought I had to pay the $50 deductible regardless. But they are sending me the new one without paying the deductible (I think since they didn't mention it on the email).
Next time...straight to the repair center. I wonder where the closest one in NW New Jersey is at.
