Nick's rom

Since everyone else was doing it, I decided to upload my ROM for anyone that wants it. So far it is working for me, if you find any problems or out-of-date oem's then let me know.

Thanks obviously to everyone who got this going (I really did nothing but make a few OEM's and pick the rest that I liked). Thanks OMJ for the good tutorial, no2chem for the base, dog guy and latissmo for the tools, and imCokeMan for the unlocker.

Notes:
- Fixed youtube (flashvideobundle 1.4.4)
- Removed HTC streaming media player
- Added Rushour game

ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....s/Nick/nick_v5

All of my roms have a 32 Mb page pool.

iirc the phone needs to be on "short tones" or whatever for the vibrate dialing to work... so i'd assume if you just switch back to long tones it'll disable it...

that is correct and by default it is disabled. you have to turn short tones on if you want it to work.

Nick,
Are you having a problem with your Talk and End hard keys? I have had this problem intermittently with other ROMs and it's driving me crazy. I loaded your ROM today and I can't get those bad boys to work at all... even after a soft reset. I just don't want to believe I have to try and load the stock ROM back on and RMA this thing.

Have you EVER had your Talk and End (hard) keys stop working?

Thanks,
DJ

Re: Nick's rom

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you load Nick's rom like we loaded the leaked 3.16? Or do you have to have some sort of bootloader to do it? And yours does include the working gps, correct?

Thanks,

tpeazy

As far as I know there is no working GPS for the Touch yet (only the Titan). It is just a file you load the same way described in the 'Flashing How-To' sticky post. You unlock with imCokeMan's unlocker, then run the RUU rom update utility with this file.
