Still Plugging Along

Don't know if anybody visits this site anymore but I'm back to using my HTC Touch and so far it's working fine.

I have had to hard re-set twice in about a year but I have a lot of "junk" installed on it so I'm not complaining.

Battery is still strong. I'm getting a better signal now than when I bought it and everything works as new.

I bought and sold the HTC Touch Pro 2 and frankly it was buggier by far.

I have contacted Sprint about upgrading to another "smart" phone but if I was to do that my bill would at least be twice as much so until I have to, I probably will keep plugging along with this phone.

Good to see you're back, jimt29. I never left! Now into my 5th happy year with this amazingly light (under 4 oz.) little (under 4 in. long) device, learning to take advantage of the surprising power of Excel Mobile, for example, to write HTML from input data, copy from Excel & paste into text editor Made, and then FTP to server using Total Commander - just to name 1 of the many tasks WinMo allows me to accomplish while mobile. Desktop PC is still helpful, but is less and less of a necessity. It's pretty clear that many have left Vogue in their past, presumably moving on to various larger devices. I'm seeing no reason to do so.

I loved my vogue, but really compared to a phone like the galaxy s2? That's like comparing a Pentium 800 mhz against a quad core PC.

Oh, and i'm still on the old Sero plan!

Still using the old Vogue on Bell's Pay as you go but only as a tether-modem as our rural area doesn't have anything other than dialup.
running 28014, nice data speed for EvD0 (1.5M), but still disconnects from Internet Sharing randomly when online.
:-p
Using an SGS i9000 now with Android 4, overclocked to 1.3GHz :-D

Count me in! Just bought another one from fleabay and was wondering what's the greatest custom firmware available?

If "greatest" is defined as that which has gotten the most hits, downloads, posts, FAQs and answers, then it would be NSFfan's final Vogue ROM.

It's still available here at PPC Geeks:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-vogue-...m6-5-roms.html

And, there's still a great FAQ over at XDA:
Nfsfan's wm6.5 Rom Faq (Now Open For Business!) - xda-developers

Oh, and then there's Android on Vogue. Using above definition over just the past year, the greatest would be Myn's Warm Donut:

I still have one... My 5 year old son watches movies on it. Battery works great... Looks great... But he did put a couple of scratches on it.
It has no service and no wifi... So he can't get into too much trouble with it yet.

I still have my Vogue but I dont use it. There is nothing about it that isnt better on my Diamond (I suppose except Android and the mSD slot). I really dont know what to do with the Vogue...

I also have TP2 but its too big and bulky compared with the Vogue or Diamond.

Oh wow. There are still Vogue users out there! I still have mine. Haven't powered it up in a while but sometimes I miss having that little powerhouse. I have the seidio stock size battery and it really helped. I still have my ROM kitchens and even a few flashable roms backed up on DVD. It's great to see that folks are still using them.
