No Outlook Sync
Is there a way to sync and backup contacts and calenders without Outlook? say to gmail or yahoo mail? I know you can sync with google calender, what about contacts? Is there a way to back up the whole phone?

Just go to xda developers site and do a search for HTC backup. Download it to phone and it can backup just your appts, contacts, etc... or your whole phone.

yahoo go does sync contacts.
pimppcbackup is a standalone ap on your phone that does a nice job backing up all pim info.
